Project Concept
Create an app that is needed in the marketplace. I came up with a hiking app. The competitive apps are cumbersome and don’t have enough information. The app provides basic data for trails, but also gathers information from users to provide an even more comprehensive guide to the trails as time goes on.

Research
This project had extensive research. The first stage was to research what kind of app the market may be in need of, then I researched competitive apps to see what was missing from them. Then I researched design styles and interface UX best practices for app design.
Target Audience
Avid hikers and beginning hikers looking for an easy way to find new trails nearby.
Design Solution
I used bright colors and photos of nature to create a feeling of positive energy. I created large buttons so that it is easy to maneuver through the entire app.
